Today, my orchestra was rehearsing Rossini’s “L’italiana in Algeri”. I decided to bust out the ending piccolo lick as loudly as possible.

Right after we hit the last note, one of the clarinettists behind me called out:

“Joanna! Hot. That was hot.”
