Afterwards, you should take a look at the Nielsen flute concerto if you haven’t already. :) Nielsen attempted to write a concerto for each of the players for which he wrote the quintet. Unfortunately, he died before he could finish writing the flute one, so it’s unfinished. But it’s super lovely & dramatic! You can tell he wrote it for a diva flutist, haha! ;)
