I abhor Mando-pop.

I recently realized that it’s due mostly to the way my brother uglifies all Mando-pop songs to annoy me. Last year, I even swore off listening to any Mando-pop songs ever.

And now, Wong Fu Productions has made a video with the biggest Mando-pop star ever. I’m a huge Wong Fu fan, so as a loyal fan, I decided to break my vow and watch their collaboration with Wang Leehom. I kind of regret it.

Because I find it slightly horrifying that I like this video.

A lot.

All kidding aside, I have to say that I LOVED everything about this video. Simple, profound, real, artistic. Everything I like, in one. Thank you, Wong Fu Productions and Wang Leehom, for redeeming Mando-pop for this little musician who can only play classical flute. I think I’ve got a lot of homework to do now. ;)
